Sequencing a release
Two ways to put a set in the order you want it heard. Each one runs on four real sets and one whole crate, and they share one order: arrange a set in one sketch and the other opens with it.
The long strip
The set runs left to right as one tape. Sleeves are as wide as their tracks are long, and the lines run beneath them. The best view of the whole arc.
The J-card
The running order is the spine and time runs down the page. The lines sit beside each row, and there is room in the margin to say why a track sits where it does.
- Drag to move a track. On a laptop, the arrows choose and Option with the arrows moves.
- The lines show shape, relative to the set. Hover for the numbers behind them.
- Pick a shape, then drag the dots on its dotted line to bend it into your own. Ideas follow the line you drew.
- Six measures can be drawn as lines, and you choose which one the shape and ideas follow.
- Delete drops the chosen track from the sequence. It can be brought back.
- Keys are off until you switch them on. They mark what sits together and say nothing about the rest.
- A track that is not on streaming holds its place and leaves a gap in the lines.
